light vs darkness

13 11 2011

i recently was reminded of the made up issues that almost define what i view as the church. in response to people being upset with how some people write xmas instead of christmas i said the following:

“wow i didnt realize people were still hung up on that. i dont even view christmas as a spiritual holiday. i celebrate the fact that christ came here all the time and simply choose not to recognize the date assigned by some person that i dont care about. i view the ‘war on christmas’ argument as the same type of divisive political gesture that more or less defines the churches that i have attended over my lifetime. all we do is find new things to be angry about rather than spread the positivity that is the love of god. it is in its most simple form light vs darkness.”

this is really an tame example of the issues that come up in these circles. wolf in sheeps clothing

on love and consciousness

13 10 2011

without consciousness there is no love. without love there is no reason for consciousness. be conscious of the power of love and let it consume your very being. this is the greatest thing that one can do with their mind. we make a choice every second we spend in consciousness, selfishness or selflessness. true selflessness is true love. selfishness is the opposite. chose love. chose love for you. chose love for me. chose love for the positive effect it will have on the collective consciousness that we all share. you have the power. your mind is capable of affecting the choices everyone else makes. chose love

the written word is an interesting concept

up to interpretation

you dont have to wait for an explanation

we all have a unique relation

ship with them

what do you think of these words?

they are not just for the birds

they are powerful

they are a product of my mind

necessary evil

29 09 2011

i dont believe is necessary evil. evil is evil. people say war is a necessary evil. i say war is always wrong. ill go as far as to say that killing anybody ever is always wrong. it is not my job to decide who lives or who does not.

i dont believe in capital punishment, abortion, euthanasia, physician assisted suicide, murder (intentional or not) or any other hum killing another human for any reason.

is it something you can not come back from? absolutely not. no matter the reason or method used forgiveness is always an option. there is a very simple reason for this. i believe acts committed in the mind are as powerful as the ones committed in the flesh. in other words i and everyone else have already done every form of killing. i have asked for and received forgiveness for this.

war is not the answer.

it never is.

how many more do we have to endure before people start understanding this concept.

benjamin franklin had many good ideas. he had many bad ideas for that matter but for me my favorite quote of his goes like this: “there never was a good war or a bad peace”

na matter how someone else or something else has wronged you or the ones you love, killing that person creates more heartache.

i learned a few years ago how incredibly hard it is to lose someone close to me. it happened to be because of  useless war. i have personal experience in that heartache. it is awful. i don’t wish that on any other soldiers families. not soldiers of the united states. not the soldiers of the enemies of the united states. i don’t even wish that on the families of the men who killed my cousin, who was killed in the iraq war.

squash hate from your heart.

let love take its place.

i have.

a little bit of love

27 09 2011

the mind is powerful

i believe it is more powerful than anybody has seen

love is more powerful than the mind

love created the mind

true love can only be positive

there is no circumstance in which i should not reflect and magnify true love to everything around me

i will use the power of my mind to show love

i was listening to my ipod on shuffle on the ride home from work and a song called “happy ending” by mika…the end is the best part
